Usability Lab Coordinator

Location: Tacoma, WAAs a member of the 2b3d usability team, you will support the usability lab team through scheduling, recruiting, event management, data management and general support of the usability lab.Responsibilities: > Recruit and schedule participants for usability studies > Managing the relationship with the participants such as scheduling, support documents, and data management > Developing and executing a participant recruiting plan for the usability lab > Determine profiles for participants for usability studies > Manage information on internet and media sites and attend local events > Receive participants for usability studiesQualifications: > BA/BS degree preferred > At least 3-5 years in professional office environment > Connections and familiarity with the military at Joint Base Lewis-McChord a significant plus. > Experience in cold-calling the public or customers a plus. > A background in recruiting a big plus. > Ability to think of creative sourcing means > Proven organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize > Excellent verbal and written communication skills > Excellent skills in use of software for the office environmentU.S. Citizenship is required as positions may require employees to be able to obtain a security clearance.

Usability Lab Specialist 1

Location: Tacoma, WAAs a member of the 2b3d Usability team, you will design and document telehealth solution user experience studies to test software and hardware user interfaces. The duties include conducting usability studies, ensuring user interface consistency within a multi-application suite; creating and maintaining usability standards; evaluating new technology, and other duties as assigned.Responsibilities > Performs user based research on telehealth practices > Interacts with military and staff stakeholders > Works in cross functional teams to translate functional requirements into user design > Produces specifications describing the appearance and behavior of the user interface for a product in development > Develops long term strategy for usability work on productTechnical Skills > Creates screen designs using image processing tools like Photoshop, Fireworks and MS Visio > Familiar with UI guidelines for relevant development platforms like Windows, Smartphones, iPhones and integration with existing platformsQualifications > Minimum of 2 years professional experience in user research, usability, human computer interaction, working successfully with project teams to drive results into design and development throughout the project lifecycle > BS or Masters degree in Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, or related field > Hands-on experience with the following methods: lab-based user testing, remote testing, and field research > Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skillsU.S. Citizenship is required as positions may require employees to obtain a security clearance.

Location: Tacoma, WAAs a senior member of the 2b3d Usability team, you will design and document telehealth solution user experience studies to test software and hardware user interfaces. The duties include conducting user experience studies, ensuring user interface consistency within a multi-application suite; creating and maintaining usability standards; evaluating new technology, and other duties as assigned.Responsibilities: > Guide program managers and behavioral clinicians to create people-centered design studies > Distill product goals and usability questions into well thought-out plans, timelines and resourcing > Develop and implement user-centered approaches throughout the design and development cycle > Engage a variety of qualitative and quantitative research techniques for telehealth user experience evaluation on emerging technologies > Define, track and report key user experience metrics > Perform thorough data analysis in order to create insightful and actionable findings > Communicate strategic and tactical design recommendations based on findings and be a strong and vocal user advocateQualifications: > Minimum of 4 years professional experience in user research, usability, human computer interaction, working successfully with project teams to drive results into design and development throughout the project lifecycle > BS or Master's Degree in Cognitive or Experimental Psychology, Human Computer Interaction, or related field > A strong portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables (e.g.: study plans, reports) > End-to-end experience with all aspects of user research (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting), lab-based user testing, remote testing, field research, survey design > The ability to quickly turn around high-quality study plans and reports > Excellent communication, collaboration, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills > Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting. > The ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and multi-task in an agile environmentU.S. Citizenship is required as positions may require employees to obtain a security clearance.

Hardware Specialist

Usability Lab IT Specialist

Location: Tacoma, WAAs a member of the 2b3d Usability team, you will support the IT needs for the telehealth usability lab to ensure proper running of hardware, software and network connectivity. The Usability Lab IT specialist will maintain usability work stations, eye tracking hardware, support audio visual systems, including multiple high-fidelity color cameras. Software duties will include maintaining usability software, video coding and analysis software and supportive software suites.Responsibilities: > Perform intermediate level server, network, and storage administration. > Responsible for the monitoring of all usability systems and scheduled b maintenance activities > Key on-site point person for coordinating user support, hardware support, assisting in establishing technical priorities > Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with plans, policies, standards, and infrastructures for the usability lab > Develop and administer databases used to store and retrieve data and develop standards for the handling of usability data > Troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and software to ensure the availability and functionality of systems > Provide technical support to customers who need advice, assistance, and training in applying hardware and software systemsQualifications: > A Bachelor's degree in an area applicable to this position or a minimum of four years of relevant technical experience of may be substituted for the degree > Experience with advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution of usability labs > Skill in identifying, analyzing, installing, configuring, updating, evaluating and troubleshooting hardware and software components > Ability to perform a variety of specific professional non-complex engineering tasks of an analysis, design, or test natureU.S. Citizenship is required as positions may require employees to obtain a security clearance.
